Katfile is blocked in some countries, which makes a much greater detriment to those people who use sister site.
Even more favourable than Zippyshare is https://pixeldrain.com/ . Currently there are two pixelstore servers - in Portland, Oregon, and one in Amsterdam.

That is just fucked. I relied heavily on Zippy for alternative links while other hosting sites were busy downloading. Guess that's a wrap then, such a shame. No more pulling like 3 sample packs & a plugin all at once then...

What the hell. That sucks. Apart from magnet link torrents for huge file sizes, for me Zippyshare has always been the best fastest free downloader by far. :(

A real shame, they were really fast and reliable this will definitely leave a huge gap for sharing and downloads I liked using Zippy because they were free of BS wait times, captchas, redirects and ads, I don't download very much so I didn't use Zippy too often but for bigger files they were great, I never had issues like others that said it was blocked from their country or by their internet providers , for blocked sites just used any vpn even the ones built into browsers, if you couldn't connect change the vpn locations or use a different browser, this always helped not just for downloads but mainly for accessing geo-blocked web pages. Zippy will be fondly remembered by many,

No dear @controlthesystem its the totally true my friend.
This has been a widespread problem for many users living in Europe for a very long time. So stop accusing others of lying just because you haven't had the same experiences.

Do you live in every EU country? Because this type of geo blocking has to be enforced by the individual countries, not by the EU itself that is just an bunch of burocratic institutions plaged by lobbist and cleptocrats with legislative powers. Here in Spain Zippy is on a blacklist that the Ministry of Culture pass to the ISPs in order to block those, like a lot of torrent sites. Please be aware that maybe you lack critical information in this matter.

I would expect not, except for perhaps some perverse and repressive government who likes enforcing other countries' laws.
But then it seems it would then be, in effect, that country's law as well.
I mean, Argentina can tell the EU to fuck off...

  11. if other pages follow? I think that our uploads and the internet and also AudioZ and also other sites will soon be in danger if there will soon be no uploader machines

and then the transfer begins, which has been around for a long time on other sites. I think that a small part of this is also due to the banks, because now all the money in the world is only made online, like the banks and the eu (my thoughts)

Alomost entire EU and some other non-EU countries if i remember. And there was no way to bypass that blocking, like replace name by ip, only (i guess zippy blocked the country ips internal, otherwise bypass had worked)
I had to use torbrowser to download from it. Before it was an easy go to grab 10GB in 10mins without a problem with JD2.
needed a 5GB file, throw it into JD2 and let it load. Only sometimes Zippy links had captchas, but otherwise perfect to free leech.

Just use JD2 then, I don't see the problem.

But again I never used zippy, RG really always was and is going to remain the standard.

Anyway the site is closing down so guys you're gonna have to deal with it

Right. For Germany zippyshare was geoblocked. Set a VPN to Netherlands (e.g.) and everything was fine. So not a EU thing.

JD2 is not the problem, zippy is blocking the ips from some countries.

ofc if you have 100 100MB files you will download them by hand. ofc.
