I remember buying a no-name Interface off Thomann from Infrasonic, the driver eventually stopped working after an OS upgrade and never got updated. Wouldn't advise.

That's good but keep in mind that power supplies don't need company support and drivers unlike audio interfaces.

Behringer's USB Mixers are horrible but their cable testers and synth clones are decent, it's more a matter of what they do with their individual product lines.

Yes, the stingy customer buys it because it's cheap, in short you could say that some users buy double and triple.
Some users are beginners and fall for the advertising. Our forum here offers that already remedy.
So who can read is clearly at an advantage. You should rather save 1 - 2 months longer and buy once what reasonable.
The mnemonic is called who buys cheap buys twice.

The cheap and undercut the competition has been the business model of Behringer in the past, at some point
Behringer has changed its corporate policy and builds as you said higher quality products at a low price.

Thats the thing, these aren't "low-wage" or "slave labor" countries at all. The cost of living in OUR American and European cities is extremely high compared to theirs, hence the wage difference in terms of sheer number comparisons (e.g., its costs $3000/mo rent in Silicon Valley USA -vs- $300/mo in Shenzhen China -which most Chinese employers pay for, monthly food costs £400 in London -vs- £40 in Shanghai...). When you compare cost of living/wage percentages, it is absolutely no different to any European country or America.

As I was saying earlier, if a company in Germany decides to contract a manufacturer in China to make them interfaces, and take advantage of this wage/cost of living/% retail markup advantage for the European and American markets, whos to blame if the product is garbage and they're taking advantage of the market undercutting prices and whatnot? The Chinese manufacturer isn't stealing anything or making any decisions at all, they're just making exactly what the German company ordered and paid for to product design specifications, components, quality etc., end of the day its the German company's responsibility to do legal due diligence, quality control, pricing , customer service etc., on their own products. Give credit where credit is due, both positive and negative.

Innovations and know-how, seriously? Come on. China is and has been throughout history the mecca of cutting edge inventions and technology. Copycat stealing patents corruption etc., sure it does exist, everywhere. You wanna talk about low-wage sweat shops and fake goods, we need not look further than our own backyards. Have you ever been to Camden market in London or Canal Street in NYC? Literally every city in the world probably has a "replica" market. Every time you go to any store, "replicas" are right in front of your face. Reverse engineering is nothing new and without it there would never be innovation, and certainly not exclusive to Chinese based companies and products - especially not in our audio/visual fields of work. Whens the last time you saw a "Chinese knockoff" of a Juno 106 plugin or hardware? LOL... or is it OK for us to copy but not ok for them? Us and them.. and therein lies the issue I take with the ever so casual, flippant hypocrisy and constant disinformation, stereotyping and xenophobia. We're all humans, its untrue, unnecessary and wrong.

On paper, RME is exactly the same as this Yuer company. Germany/China made. No difference whatsoever. Period.

Product quality and customer service? That is entirely subjective. And anyway, this product has been available for all of what, 2 weeks?! Come on man.... who knows, it could be the best thing since.. eh.. pizza? (which interestingly enough was invented by the Chinese and later "reverse engineered" by the Italians. Go figure.).
