Your opinion on downsampling

    I dunno either why but there are several possibilities that come to mind, omnisphere may use oversampling or isnt downsampling at 96khz...there are probably
    other i'm not aware of...

    looking for an answer, i happened on that article

    there is a part at the end that deals with teh problem...he explains the difference by refering to an "octave higher" or "octave lower" effect..depending on whether we are at respectively 96khz or 44.1...
    but the way he describes the sound is pretty much the same as what we found

    @Gulliver Omnisphere lib is 40gb lol. I might have been mistaken though and the samples - I think I was thinking of http://www.oceanwaydrums.net/ 92khz/24bit on Platinum........ "INDUSTRY STANDARD" quote hahahah

    And regarding your last statement if the enduser is a dj or a producer it kinda does make a difference.

    Producers and DJs are seldom regarded as end users...

    I was thinking about the average music listener/consumer of course, and I think lysergyk did the same.

    no offence i hope but people that stick to books i never trust for info. their is learning and then their is knowing through experience if you stick to learning your just a robot never knowing
