Overview

DB-30 Drum Butter is a multi-effect plugin for drums designed to add character, tone, punch, and depth to loops, samples, acoustic drum recordings, and full drum mixes. It combines six processing modules into one interface for fast, creative workflow.

The 6 Modules

• Boom Shack: Adds low-end weight (“boom”) and high-end sizzle (“shack”) with separate controls.
• Shift: Alters pitch and formant. Can push drums higher or make them deeper and heavier.
• Space: Adds reverb, from realistic rooms to vintage-style effects, to create depth and width.
• Compress: Adds punch and glue. Includes multiple compression modes.
• Saturate: Adds distortion and edge with several saturation modes.
• More: Increases density and loudness using waveshaping and clipping.

Signal Chain

• Modules can be reordered to change processing behavior
• Boom Shack (start) and More (end) are fixed
• Other modules can be freely rearranged

Controls and Features

• Magnitude slider: adjusts intensity of all modules at once
• Preset browser: ready-made settings for different styles
• Focus Filters and Target Sliders: apply effects to specific frequencies and transient vs sustain portions
• Module knobs: control amount of each effect
• Master section includes:

Has anyone ever tried to put butter on their drums? I feel like this would be a mistake..

Seriously though, I do like some of XLN's stuff and this looks interesting, so wtf.. one more thing to add to my ginormously overwhelming VST toolkit

 

should named it drum ketchup instead... sounds like something i migh test this plugin i guess it would make sense on a whole drum buss
