Beta revision releases? Bless your heart. I bought the plugin from Xfer. My comment was to the dude beggin and complaining about no mac crack. Sheesh you mac people sure are sensitive!

 

well to put things in perspective. We got Serum 2 before GTA VI and the epstein client list.

 

It appears the consensus about "REV3" is still shaky at best. Crashes, and melting GUI's are still indicators that the crack isn't yet ready for prime time.

...and the beat goes on...

Rev 3 working perfectly on Window 7 for about the last hour of tinkering. Was never a huge Serum user but I'm loving some of the new features. A sound designers dream.

Everyone is justifiably excited when a newer edition of a fave plugin or instrument comes out.

Some people rush in and grab it, some sit back and wait for a period of time to see if it is stable.
Neither party is better or worse, it is only a different choice of approach.

This promises to be a major change from its predecessor. As for bugs, speculating on whether it is a developer issue or a hacking issue or both, this never has made any sense to me, unless one or the other openly knows and is publicly admitting where the error lays.

I am sure if any problems lay with Xfer, they won't commit business suicide, and if it is in a hacked version, I am sure it will eventually get better.

 

It's working fine for two hours on both fl studio and new ableton beta. Even ran it along w serum one. I don't even have cpu spikes whatsoever and I use an old ryzen 5 3600

 

can i ask if your diving into the granular and spectral oscillators? I have the legit version, and im getting crazy cpu spikes when i start modulating or using oscillator fx with those oscillator types. Just curious!

 

Any changes for Preset DB build? I took years in Serum 1 when you have much presets...

 

Huge improvement in that area. Takes only a fraction of what it used to take.

 

The preset browser was probably the most commonly complained about thing in v1, so they had to seriously work on fixing it. It's the first thing some people will check. It's way faster now. I moved about 20k presets and hit the menu option which deletes and rebuilds db and it's done in seconds.

 

and the clip to pre listen is awesome

 

I love the update. Only downside is, that some patches really tend to spike my CPU (Ryzen 7 5800x), until I go from „high“ to „good“ quality.
Hopefully, this will be patched in future Updates.

And I guess it's time to look for some nice sfz files to test the multisampler.

 

Installed early morning (in Europe) for the first time using V.R patch REV 3. After 8 hours of test I had no issues, no crash, no graphic artifacts. Excellent preset browser, in few seconds added all S1 library found in the HD. The new presets are good but not excellent for me, too much rompler oriented with a lot of real instruments emulations. It seems that CPU demand is very high if compared to Pigments, Vital or Massive X. Thanks to V.R team and all involved in this great work.
