People do all kinds of weird things on the internet. You can also find a post of a CE-V.R. version, where someone added the "CE" for shits and giggles, and to appear different.
Absolutely no mention of a TCD collab or fix or update anywhere, so I doubt that is legit.

And even the situation over here has become very unclear, because the Rev3 post was deleted, with only the original post left up, where it appears it is only the original release, before the rev1, rev2, rev3 updates. The time the files were modified matches the initial release, yet a lot of people think this is a "post-rev3" update and this is the latest release.

Question is, why was rev3 removed, while the original version was left up?

What puzzles me further, on V.R.'s web, there is no trace of rev1-3, only the original version.

This is all just speculation! We don't know how they work, whether they overlooked it, complained later, or left it there on purpose.

I apologize for my previous post. I realize now (too late) that maybe it's better to mantain a low profile and report only problems, issues and so on. Better not to show too much enthusiasm, this obviously can alert devs.

But I gotta applaud the devs, the interface breaking and falling apart like you hit it with a sledgehammer is the funniest timebomb I've ever seen.

 

I'd like to see a video of melting serum, my champion of the funniest and creative timebombs is Sonic Charge

 

Tried the REV3 on a test system (not on internet). Everything seems to function ok until one tries using the "Load Preset" menu item. Attempting to run a "load preset" will cause the infamous "melting gui". Doesn't seem to affect the audio, crash the daw (reaper), or crash itself. Just that the gui rearranges itself into a half-usable altered state. Get that one thing fixed and it's mostly good to go.
Call it "REV4"?

Yay's - The error messages have been fixed as well as the "gui melt" when loading a preset.

Nay's - Adjusting anywhere between 10-20 controls (rotary or slide controls, take your pick) even on the default preset crashes the entire DAW (reaper). In Cubase it produces the "system unstable popup" after 15-20+ control changes (dials or sliders) are logged.

to reproduce;
- load the synth
- leave everything at default
- adjust your choice of any 10-20 random controls (dials or sliders)
- (reaper) you'll see an hourglass, then <pouf> a complete close of entire daw
-- (cubase) "system unstable" popup displays - doesn't crash the entire DAW, but after that popup occurs the DAW is compromised and it must be restarted

Use REVO for the uninstalls... A system sweep for search term "Xfer Records" is in order as well...

 

I tried to rename the serum2 file within macos folder inside.vst3 on mac
And put it on vst3 windows folder renaming to serum2.vst3
And used the patch on win put it back to vst3 on mac and tried to load endless loading is there without crash

Is there anyways to use win patch on mac vst3 of serum2. (Did that for omnisphere some years back)

Anyways to get serum rev4, working on macos?
