What if Mozart would be born today, and would use his genuity to build a plugin called flux capacitor?
Just kiddin, I would love to play the piano like a pro, but I grew up on amiga 500 tracker, my fault? Maybe, but I like it, so...

 

After using most posted here IMHO the best is still Sundog Scale Studio.

 

I'd not think of that as a fault. I'd say both are privileges, just different ways into a relationship with music. You can still learn to play piano. Mozart and Co won't ever get a Cthulhu update. That makes you even more privileged.

I think especially Bach would love these tools. His music contains lots of symmetries and repetitions similar to those we produce today with sequencers and arpeggiators. Mozart would probably only create some drama or make fun of them like @foster911 does. The two would make a good pair.

Cthulhu is an amazing tool when you're out of ideas. Pick a chorale and experiment until you stumble on something that inspires you. It's genius.

Of course the idealized real musician doesn't even listen to other people's music, his art is pure and completely void of outside influences. Fuck that shit. Use whatever tool that helps you make better music.

 

Using these tools doesn't allow you to be musically deep and sticks and fastens your mind to just some dancy styles. If you want to be a dance music producer for the remnants of your life, no problem just watch some girlie stuff on XV and go with them. Your choice!

Scaler at the top for me, i'm using demo and it's incredible, i would like to try Captain Chords

 

I d just use cthulu, what is it with scaler that it’s on top for you? Better chords, workflow? Did you use Obelisk yet?

Tried both, i think you have more features and more workflow in Scaler
