Ch5

Ch5 is an emulation of a set of three devices, typically modules of one of the most classic consoles around: Preamplifier and meters, Equalizer (proportional Q), and Compressor/Limiter. Additionally, the plugin features a fader and hi-pass and lo-pass smooth filters (12 dB/oct).

I bought Strip off of Quinto at SKnote, a channel strip/ desk module about two years ago. Though as much as I dug the sound of the channel strip, I just couldn't use it as the gui was a bit much for me and I couldn't ever find a flow when I was working and I don't like to think during this work but rather need to feel my way through a session. The concept and the sound of a desk, all of the software channels working together in tandem was exciting to me but it was just not to be in this instance. The incredible thing is that I was allowed to trade it in for another of his very high quality vst's, STA-level, this something that I thought was fairly amazing, a developer actually trusting a customer enough to give him/her the benefit of the doubt. I also at the same time had gotten Disto which is one bad-ass mutherfuker of a compressor as well as Verbtone which has become my go to plate reverb and finds it's way onto so much of my vocals as well as guitars, both acoustic and electric. I highly recommend any and all SKnote plugins as they are all high quality and great sounding tools that just don't happen to cost as much as other high quality vst effects. I am sure that CH5 follows in tight step in bang for the buck as all the rest of the line, his hardware offerings included. Give it a go, I am fairly certain that you can't go wrong, and as well learn to appreciate his excellent products as I have.
