It's funky, kinda Daft Punk soundin a lil.The mix isn't bad,the fx on the vocals etc are ok,maybe a lil heavy on the reverb on the one vocal part or maybe too large of a reverb. It could maybe be a lil more dynamically balanced but not too bad, though it seems there is no kick drum.So in my opinion I think that is the first thing it needs. But it's a funky lil groove, doesn't sound bad,I'm just trying to critique

you know listening again I'd say those gm gun shot sounds may be a bit too loud, that tom sound too maybe, the synth & bass patterns are nice, and the drums are workable other than needing a kick

thank you! I'm not to good at mixing *no* i record my vocals through my laptop microphone and the logic 5.5 stock reverbs aren't the best...and neither am i at dialing them in :dancing: thanks for the advice! ill deff add a bass drum!

no problem, pretty clear for a laptop mic,not condenser with a tube preamp clear but you can hear it and there's not a ton of noise

Not bad, but yeah several things are too loud and go outside of the mix, the gun shot is one of them, the main clap is also too loud and leaves the mix. It should be just lower than the vocals but not enough that it loses flow.

Other than that, I like the synth sound, very solid. And besides some things being too loud other than that the rest sounds good.

damn. i would of never known these things! i really appreciate this feedback....i was just wondering, would it be in best interest to keep bass and drums in mono? or is it okay to have the bass and certain drums in stereo?

Hey man, yes it's best to keep frequencies under around 150Hz in mono, so your kick drum, your sub bass should be mixed in mono. You can then layer other basses and have them playing higher octaves of the baseline and you can have them be wider than the sub bass and that will give you a much fuller sounding song.

    As for some feedback.

What a funky track man. I absolutely love the audio clip you used in the intro, gotta love samuel :). Low cut that sample up till about 100hz because it contains some rumble, doing that should smooth it out and clem it up. I love the synths and the baseline, your drums are what are letting the song down a bit in my opinion, this song needs powerful drums, a strong kick drum will drive the song along with some good percussive samples. You've done quite a good job of mixing it, the vocals could use some compression to bring them out more in the mix cuz as it stands they're a bit unclear, i like the flanger and fx you have on them though, you have the right idea. The vinyl effect you have in the song is a bit loud and the song overall lacks that sparkling high end to really make it shine.

You have a really great song here with great potential. It just lacks that final production element to take it to the next level but you're well on your way, and I'm always here to help :)
