hi the video shows trying to get a picture with her behind the fountain and there's security there etc which doesn't allow photos i guess

but my question is

would the end result differ much if they just added her afterwards? like green screen things i mean etc.. or its just more time consuming to do that..or not as great of result?

 

It probably wouldn't matter to 99% of people who would look at the photo and have no idea it's photoshopped but I'm not sure how well it would fool a professional photographer, I would hope they would be able to detect it. That's five woulds in one sentence, terrible writing.

Would it matter if I recorded my own guitar or used a construction kit? I respect the art and the listener too much to try to fool them and I imagine photographers are of the same opinion.

 

No, I don't think it would matter if done properly (green/blue screen). But as you can see, here is more about "the making of"..

 

The correct question is : "How many views did he get from this clickbait?" . Of course . It's a win-win situation. Taking a gorgeous picture and gaining YouTube's attention.

 

Why would Lincoln Center care if someone takes a photo. Been there, done that and security didn't charge me like a pack of wolves.

All of Hipgnosis' legendary album covers and pictures were true, in-camera shots of real things and it does give them a certain extra wow factor when you take that into account. But the time and expense does seem pointless now when they can be so easily faked with the same results.

 

A professional photographer or even a passionate photographer would'nt do that.
He always wants to shoot a photo that is used as it is. Or at least as near as he can come.
Most of these people come from an era where there only was the analog equipmenmt and the man behind it. Photoshop didn't even exist but nontheless great pictures were taken. IMHO most of the time they were better than today from a photographic arts point of view.

So just clicking with a camera a thousand times and do the artful things in the post is just no option for those type of guy.

p.s.: I was traveling with a film crew for a while for a project and it was really tiring how long the camera man worked on his settings for a single shot until he was satisfied with the result. The whole film was 10 minutes long, but we worked on it for a week. Just for the filming.. there was also the post.

And photographers are far worse.
