    Let's bump this thread! :)
    For a work in progress (or 'process' as I've just realised this forum is called!?) this is great!
    I can only comment on the compostional and emotive aspects because I'm listening on cans not monitors right now.
    Very interesting techniques that you've used make it quite captivating and listenable, imo.
    The sidechain ducking to the kick is a nice touch.
    Sounds to me like you know what you are doing (at least on my headphones!), so no advice from me.
    Although it does seem very bright to me, is all.
    Will listen on monitors later.

    Love it! The mood is sumptuous. It gets some nice mid range washes around 2 minutes which improves it immensely. It is too bright and the stick beat is too loud. But I'd be happy to say I wrote that.

    I like the composition and the instrumentation, but this kind of pumping effect, means the way you did it, is not my cup of tea.

    Let me guess, you used a lot of limiting in the subgroups and less in the mainout. Give it a try and do it the other way around.
    Because then you have more control over the overall loudness and more peaks will hit the top level which normally sounds more punchy.

    When I realized this, I found it a bit irritating too.
