Making a track, i usually need to layer samples, like percussions because i don't like to get crazy to find the perfect sample. But if i layer them in the project it might be wasteful... do you usually open an other project to create your layered sample, while you're working on the main track?

Or other ideas to come up with working on the main project and create layered samples?
