Hello, I have word builder 1.1.6 and an old version of symphonic choir from 2007. I also have finale 2014. I downloaded midi yoke and looked up all types of instructions to use word builder for symphonic choir in finale. But, non of them worked. Is there any way to use word builder in finale 2014? So, I can play the lyrics in word builder for finale 2014. Thanks in advance.

Does Finale recognise the wordbuilder VST?

If not, it's because the WB VST is a special type of VST (I think they're called MFX VST)

I don't know if this works for Finale, but to be recognised properly by the sequencer you have to add the contents of a file named dx_Shell located in http://xlutop.com/buzz/zip/

Tutorial (for Reaper but I think it can help you too):

Thanks, what I did was follow the instructions in this link. But it didn't work, because when I open symphonic choir through finale, the file tab was gone.

I think that list says to open Symphonic Choirs in standalone mode, NOT in Finale VSTi mode.

When you open a VSTi there's no need for midi setup, the sequencer handles all this (no need for file menu).

But if the VSTi has a santandalone version, like I think SC has, you have to set up both audio and midi.

Thank you, I finally fixed the problem. It seems that I need it to be played through midi. I was playing it through vst instead and that's why it wasn't working. For some reason word builder doesn't work with solo voices. Is there a way to make it work by any chance?

Glad you made it. In fact the Wordbuilder can be considered as a complex midi to midi instrument (VSTi)

You can't make talk solo voices. It's far more complex than with choirs.

But if you are very interested google "vocaloid".

    Cheers
