With a drum sampler, such as Atlas or say, XO, how to route to mixer?

So say I have a good loop going using Atlas, how would I then route the kick or say snare sample from the drum sampler to the mixer to mix separately and fine tune the details? I never understood how someone can use a 4x4 drum sampler and then move them into the mixer....

Also, on a similar note, how can I change the SIZE of atlas, it's too big in my DAW fl studio, and how would i go about linking the samples in the PAD to my computer keyboard so i don't have to click each one but could "play" them?

If the sampler does not give you a routing option, and the DAW does not allow for routing based on key, you can always do it by using 2 instances of same loop. In one you mute the kick or solo the snare . On the other you mute the snare or solo the kick. You end up with independent kick and snare tracks. The soloed instruments are routed independently. You can also render each soloed instrument to audio but that is not going to allow you to avail yourself of editing capabilities of the sampler.

I'm still somewhat confused on how to route the drum pad notes to my computer keyboard... and I'm using FL studio 20. your saying record the samples as an audio clip and then route to mixer? I've never used a drum pad before, and was thinking it might be more handy than dragging each sample into the playlist, and instead have the best sounds handy on the pad for quick ideas and an easier way to make a groove for inspiration. I mean i see the option to just drag any one of the samples to the channel rack, but say i recorded a beat and wanted to make the drums stand out, i can't really do that with an audio wave file... do i have to do my drum processing BEFORE laying down a beat? or is it easier to go without a drum pad, and just drag samples into the channel rack and "draw" them out.

don't know about Atlas but it is easy with XO. I've learned it from this video. You will too.

As explained, my suggestion was for those instances in which the sampler does not have a routing option. With that said, some people prefer to render to audio any track that originates in a vst.You are all over the place here. Too many different questions. Questions about workflow are difficult to answer because mine could be different from yours or impossible for you to implement. Remember, with a few exceptions, there are no hard rules in audio. If it were like that, every track would end up sounding the same. Also, when dealing with samples you should keep in mind that the majority of samples have been processed. Any processing and mixing must be done in context. Anyone anyone can tweak an EQ and comp to get a killer kick drum in isolation. Achieving a killer kick within the context of other drums what separates the pros from the novice.

Sorry my main two were just how to route samples from drum pad to mixer, and how to play the drumpad in atlas on my keyboard.... Your advice was solid and yeah you already answered one of them lol, thank you for the advice. Maybe one day I'll be able to mix a kick among other drums and still get it to punch through like a pro ;). how do you get so many models to pose for you? You're the Russian Shackleton
