    Hey guys,

To make it short and sweet, I am looking for a kit as the title says for my home studio.

I work with a Focusrite 18i20 soundcard and my actual M-50 headphones are connected to its monitor jack and I also have a Sennheiser wireless headphone set connected to the second monitor jack.

Now, what I am looking for is a pair of good earbuds not for mixing but just to enjoy the time I sit/stand at my keyboard playing and drafting ideas without the incomfort of any other type of headphones. I will also need a Bluetooth transmitter to connect to my soundcard monitor output since (I don't know why) most soundcard don't have that option (but that is another subject). I would honestly prefer RF wireless earbuds though instead of bluetooth.

So my query here is :

1- What would be a good kit for wireless earbuds
2- Which bluetooth transmitter would you suggest

I would appreciate your suggestions and comments.

    Thanks !!

Make sure you get latency-free RF headphones, not Bluetooth. They're OK for listening to music but not for playing an instrument. The latency can easily range between 50 to 200ms.

Thanks @fiction for this info. I wasn't awared of the latency issue with bluetooth.

I am a none bluetooth user usually so that is why I asked initially the questions before purchasing anything.

wireless means you are shooting your precious brain cells with digital electric pulses.

And how about lossy compression via BT?

Even after my original post, I am still searching for RF earbuds (NOT BT). I did try BT and even with low latency mode it is unacceptable for practicing your instrument.

I'm not even sure RF earbuds exists ? There are some kind of inbetween solution like those but that's not what I call "earbuds" :

Are there any RF earbuds out there ? I haven't found any and I would appreciate your suggestion,

    Thanks !

wireless = latency, lossy quality, prone to interference

just buy a longer cable for headphones

I don't like the idea of shooting electricity across my brain from ear to ear.

I think that the best solution would be professional stage monitor earbud (wireless IEM), they cost a lot, but latency is at its minimum possible.

Personally, however, I fucked off any earbud cause they created consistent ear wax increase up to the point I thought I became deaf, so since then I use only over ears headphones.
But just BT, I'm just listening music.

@orbitbooster Yeah, I have considered IEM system but it still wired to a pack you need to carry as opposed to the freedom of true wireless earbuds.

I'm still considering the IEM avenue but before I take a decision I want to investigate about such RF earbuds if they even exists.

Not all radiation causes cancer, something not mentioned in that video. Specifically there's no evidence that non-ionizing radiation (ie., bluetooth, wifi etc.) causes cancer. Maybe it's a grey area but the video above seems like it's trying to convey that non-ionizing radiation is dangerous. Until we know otherwise it isn't. Let's not pretend that this guy is carrying out a scientific experiment.

Put a piece of sand in a clam and you get a beautiful pearl, but put an IEM into an ear canal and eventually out comes an aural impeding glob of wax...though on the positive side, both clams and earwax taste delicious with a squirt of fresh lemon. Who knew?

I've got nothing to say on the topic but man...that's some dubious argumentation you got going on here.

I made no argument. I pointed out that the experiment in the video didn't demonstrate that dangerous radiation is involved.

The only thing that matters is hard data. Conspiracy theorists look for grey areas so they can exploit people who don't understand how science works, usually for profit. We have to be on our guard and protect the gullible.
