Yeah. You don't have to trust me. That's why anyone can use VMware, VirtualBox or Virtual PC 2007 to test those images.

hmm, ok. thanks for the share. what benefit do you see? dont you have problems all the time with modern drivers etc. i can understand certain people holding out on xp until now but to install it now!? that would be a nightmare of expectations

I'm not running XP on real hardware. I keep it in VirtualBox all the time. Last time i run it on real hardware was about 6 years ago.

ok, i think that it may be a good to include that in the title instead of your nickname, and in your first post.
the direct assumption here would be that its related to music making..

I didn't mention that in the first place. In fact, none of my releases are made just for "music making". Those can be used with no problem for anything like: browsing on the internet, play some games and even making music and so on..
    I mean, what the heck???
I'm not focusing on just one purpose...i'm just sharing. If anyone wants to download an install one or more isos that i share..is not my problem.

@k1ller97 Thank you. This morning I called a couple of friends looking for a copy of Windows XP to no avail. Can you tell me which one is the most stable?

Hi k1ller97, Very kind of you to share this. I know that a lot of people have moved on from this version of windows, but there are a minority who still use it for their own purposes. If you are legit which I'm sure you are then It was a nice gesture. Cheers.

    Thanks for all these.
Are they lite (optimised) or full versions ?

1/ What are the differences between:
    1. Windows XP Pro SP3 x86
    2. Windows XP Pro SP4 x86
    and:
    1. Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 June 2018
    2. Windows XP Pro SP4 x86 June 2018
2/ Did you forget the link for:
    5. Windows XP Pro SP2 x64 June 2018 (repacked): still in work...

3/ What does "Updatable" mean ?
Is MS still issuing patch updates for XP ?
    4/ What is "POS" ?
    - Point Of Sale for cash machines ?
5/ I still have XP an a laptop.
Use it as a patch editor manager for some old synth hardware. Because it's a PITA to get the drivers & editor software running on Win7.

I don't know why some find it hard to believe some peeps still use windows xp? Some older hardware is only compatible with it for starters lol... I own some myself \m/ and also windows xp is light as a feather as well so a lot of old heads still making good music on XP ... I have a working offline XP setup with very old but good hardware I still use from time to time but my main setup in my studio is windows 7 offline... Guys some of the older discontinued hardware that stopped on XP have never been any drivers writtin for anything forward so keep that in mind... OP seems to be on point with his offer an I'm sure Thiers many thankful takers here ;)

Yeah, as soon as you install XP on your PC you get a bunch of hackers browsing your hard disks for porn.

    What a load....

The sad thing is that people even don't know how ridiculous it sounds. When was the last time you got your PC broken into? Do you work for FBI?

All while you use [I guess] Google, Facebook and whatnot. Those are the real threat to your security.

Anyway, yes it's a good idea to keep any Windows OS away from the Internet. Just do your audio stuff in it and that's it. Then you can use any version for as long as it gives you the amount of performance you need. I like every ounce of it. XP performs the best. W7 follows it. Anything newer doesn't, in my experience.

Windows XP has outlived it's updates and is left vulnerable when online. It can still however, be used for musical purposes by a minority of individuals who still use particular software that suits the OS. Structurally it is one of the best Windows versions that has been released and is one of a kind.
I have stopped using it myself and rely mostly on Win7 & Linux mint for online purposes and Win10 LTSB offline for music production.
WinXP still holds a place in the hearts of some folk and will continue to do so until it becomes so defunct that they will eventually have to move on. Sorry to say but technology always wins and we all have to move on at some point! Sad but true.
