Windows software to amplify sound to headphones?

    This Windows 10 installation has onboard RealTek audio, not a separate audio card. The Sennheiser headphones are plugged into a simple Altec Lansing amp connected to a woofer and two desktop speakers.
    Is there any Windows software that could boost the signal before it reaches the amp? Some websites have a very low sound output that Altec volume control can't increase.

    bobdule, thanks for the tips. The Sennheiser cans are HD-410-SL, I hadn't thought of an impedance mismatch.
