Hi Probably asking in the wrong place, but here we go. Windows keeps changing my settings, and will not let me turn off windows defender. I was able to stop this behavior before, but not since new windows updates. Is Microsoft dong this, is it time to leave Microsoft windows, and should we sue Microsoft for fucking up our computers in the windows update?

Win11 silently reverts changes made in the group policy editor after a delay or reset without giving user feedback.
The clean way to change that, is to change permission of Defender in Safe-mode (https://lazyadmin.nl/win-11/turn-off-windows-defender-windows-11-permanently/). There are tools to do the same in the other threads about why Windows is shit.

as an end user, you are not supposed to disable OS protection, just because you use shady software isn't Microsoft's problem

PS: you can cut out defender completely if you want to fully get rid of it, but if so then you may need to remove windows update functionality too

Use Wintoolkit and strip the defender packages, there are like 4

    Also, disable Windows Update

Lastly, if you worry about the security of your OS, get yourself a cloud based Anti-Virus, Hitmanpro+Alert, webroot, Kaspersky
