If you want to keep your computer yours, install a completely clean Windows of all the unnecessary crap for audio, and either install a Virtual Machine for browsing or use dual boot and another system for Internet and normal activities. I do recommend Linux for browsing, but any OS you like to use for daily activities will do. The important thing is to keep the audio system clean and fast, not safe.

That virtual machine for browsing sounds like a good idea.
I only just got into setting up a virtual machine (VirtualBox)

Thank you, lord microsoft for making decisions for us and always intruding on our lives to keep us safe and protected from these very very very dangerous audio plugin cracks that are threatening to to destroy the very fabric of our existence.

How would we ever be safe without you?!

Please hurry your developers, I can't wait for the new Windows 1984!
