Windows 8.1 or 10?

    hello guys i have windows 7 ultimate, i've contact to positive grid support for a little problem with bias and they told me that i have to update my s.o. So what should i do? keep in 7 or update to 8.1 or 10? . If i decide to update, what kind of intall shoud i do? clean install or update? thanks!!!

    I assume s.o. means OS.
    Not sure what issue you're facing with BIAS but I'm nearly 100% positive it's not tied to Win7 being old or unsupported.
    Try writing that issue here and somebody might be able to help.

    In case you decide for upgrade anyway, clean install is always the better option.

    Yeah support says to upgrade when they don't know what's wrong but this vst runs with windows 7, it says it on their website. Windows 10 isn't even mention as a supported OS, it says 7 and 8 for Bias fxs.

    I personaly use Win7 but I've read here and there that between 8.1 and 10, 8.1 seems to be best...I have never run either of those long term though so...:dunno:

    my notebook initially comes with windows 8.1

    If you have to upgrade... go Windows 10, but keep that computer OFF the net!

    Dual boot?

    Install 8/10 alongside W7. Then you can switch as necessary.
