If your mobo only accepts USB for peripherals this install won't be possible. I tried to install on my ITX build (which only allows USB keyboard and mouse) and the install doesn't recognize the input.

Greetings Mostwest, I have just recently installed Windows 7 ultimate x64 on another HDD to run my pc as a "music computer" only but after following this thread I have decided to rather install this Windows 7 Ice Extreme to cut out the extra bloatware and give it a try. Can you please also let me have the link?

    Hi Mostwest

I tried installing Win7 Extreme Ice 64-bit from USB stick, as you have outlined, however i have a problem and that is i don't even get to the format disk screen, it just goes straight to the install and then its always asking for some kind of driver or something. Obviously everything is in Italian abut I tried clicking on all the buttons to go to Avant which is greyed out and then eventually have to exit the installation. what am I doing wrong here? thanks

Wich is the first screen that you see after booting the USB? the HDD list section?
    Do you see your HDD/partitions??

Are you using a USB 3.0 port? Some motherboard can't start some USB port without loading some drivers. I had this problem too with my new mobo wich has USB 3.0 while installing OSX those usb port doesn't work, thanks God my HP case has 2 more built-in 2.0 port wich i used for installing OSX.

    Solution:Try to change USB port.

OK, I have the install running now. It's very fast, very lean. I like it very much. The only complaint I have so far is that the language pack does not remove all Italian language.

The residual Italian shows up in...

    - certain dialogue boxes
    - certain installers (realtek be audio, Intel drivers etc.)
    - Windows safe mode menu and "shut down incorrectly" menu

Maybe somebody knows how to fix this? I might be overlooking something. (I hope I am)
