No sir. No TPM related entry in BIOS, no TPM connector on that Gigabyte mobo.

Idk what kinda shitty devs work on Windows. They are able to break the most basic shit like drag and drop, been available as a feature since Win 95 maybe. Everyone knows how shit Win10 was 2-3 years ago. And its windows, registry will slow it down eventually, an annual reset must be mandatory

It's not a rumour. That's because their security updates require TPM 2 to function properly. On a few sites you can see they're gearing up to focus on inter-connectivity with the TPM 2 for security.

Interview: Trusted Computing makes secret services happy

    https://netzpolitik-org.translate.g...r_sl=de&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=de&_x_tr_pto=nui

    https://netzpolitik.org/2013/interview-trusted-computing-stimmt-geheimdienste-froehlich/

Rüdiger Weis: With the Trusted Computing concept, Microsoft and friendly companies are trying to completely change the computer world. A watchdog chip called “Trusted Computing Module” (TPM) should be integrated into every electronic device, which should not only make the secret service happy. Together with the procedures now implemented by Microsoft within Windows 8 (especially Secure Boot), the user is largely deprived of control over his own hardware and software.

It is fatally reminiscent of an electronic ankle cuff. For example, inquiries can be made via the network whether only approved software is running. The end of personal computers and smartphones. It sounds like a dream for out-of-control intelligence services and repressive states.

No, it's Windows. There are generally no benefits.

You can run the Windows 11 installation assistant in windows 7 compatibility mode and it doesn't check your hardware. I installed it on an older i7 with 1.2 TPM no problem.

Why change something that is working OK for you?

If you are using Windows 7, 8 or 10 and got no problems, what is the deal with changing the OS?

There are Native VST plugins for Linux. Windows VSTs can be loaded through various utilities (see info here).
Make certain your system can handle the extra processing needed for software like Carla.
