Windows 11
AMD 3800X
updated latest amd fixes
update all mobo drivers (i think)

It seems that when i use chrome / youtube, that the audio of some videos hangs/freezes or call it lag, for like 1 second. I dont have an audio file of it, its sounds like BRRRRRRRR and than it continues.

Ive noticed this for several times, while im only watching youtube, and not using any other source. This problem i didnt have on windows 10!

Any 1 with the same problem and solved it?

Better yet. In Windows 11 go into the command prompt as Administrator and type the command below highlighted in bold.

powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

this will add the Ultimate Performance option in the control panel for you in Windows 11 under Hardware and Sound -> Power Options.

Incorrect. On my Windows 11 machine that command creates a new power option called Ultimate Performance which isn't in Windows 11 by default.

 

last time I saw such problems, it was on Linux, and it was corrupt graphics card driver and mixmatched samplerate in audio interface preferences,
so my suggestion - reinstall graphics card and audio drivers from proper installers from manufacturer websites, should help

Please allow me to say that Windows 11 is barely ready for everyday Home/Casual use on Intel based systems.
Unless you are Beta testing, it is just to early to be using Windows 11 for serious audio production. This is especially true for AMD based systems including the latest fixes & updates.

Once Alder Lake & AMD 3D VCache are released, we could see better compatibility & performance a few months later.

 

All the above i have done, then again when watching just a live stream on youtube in chrome, not fysical , because i was reading on an other tab, so basicly just listening!

Could i b that chrome turns down resources of tabs that arent vieuwed?

Is there some software that monitors my CPU, so that i can look at maby what is happening?

I havent used my DAW yet that much, just did a fresh install on my computer. For my daw is use focusrite solo! The times i used the DAW i dont think i had any hickups.

My youtube ect, runs on my onboard sound device. Board: Asus tuf gaming x570-plus

During typing this message, again a live stream on youtube on a other tab, had a huge lag spike..

I will try your suggestions!
