What update do you mean? This:
    2019-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4501375)

If so it did not completely fix the issue but tamed the spikes to around 600 on my system, but maybe new Nvidia drivers is needed to completely get rid of it. Maybe I test it with just my internal graphic to see

No, not everyone, just those, who why ever install every MS feature update as early as possible. Just don't do that on productive machines.
Revert to 1809 set feature updates to wait for 365 days and install 1903 when you want and KNOW that the release is stable and whithout flaws.

Looks like I still have the spikes even after the update. Do you guys that don't have spikes use AMD or Internal graphic? I use Nvidia

Seems like you might be having another issue, shouldnt be hearing clicks and hisses even after rendering. By the way its not difficult to stop automatic updates i havnt updated since 2 years ago before 1903 haha

Looks like the new Cumulative Update KB4505903 OS build 18362.267 fixed most of the spikes for me. It's out now!
Ran first a 11 minutes test restarted pc and ran a test for 15 min in Latencymon with with "no" spikes. Maybe not as good as 1809 build but very close to that.

    Typical for Microsofts "Banana-software-ripens-at-client's-site" strategy.

They rendered your computer almost unusable for audio within minutes. But it took them almost 2 months to fix that to a status quo ante. Congrats! :wtf:
