Hey does anyone know why this message appears twice upon opening Ableton.Suite.v9.7.5.P2P x64 on Win10?
It runs fine after closing the popup, i just cant figure out why its appearing..
ive tried this:
-smartscreen off
-run as win8 compatability
-run as admin
-turn off defender, firewall
-uninstall cortana, disable wifi/lan

ive edited the icon in the .exe but that was a while ago and this problem is new..
im wondering if it was the last windows update

 

yes it was the last update called windows10. get rid of it, install linux mint

 

Not sure I'm running 9.7.4 as 9.7.5 didn't have any updates I wanted. I was running 9.7.3 but I was fucking around behind the scenes and deleted some shit I shouldn't have and revoked my authorization so i had to reinstall. Maybe try a different version? not much difference between 7.3, 7.4, 7.5.

the last update has a useful bugfix, i always read the changelog and ableton usualy dont update much! dinosaur daw

 

tried everything bro its the cracked app, works fine, throws error message on start

With Adwcleaner do a systemscan. maybe there is something unwanted. use firefox version 56 with ublockorigin addon while surfing.

 

dont worry it was something up with that particular p2p exe. my desktop doesnt have wifi/lan/firefox/edge/cortana enabled, and trust me i have wittled down the win10 install as far as it will go. its tuned to death, took a while!

This also happens with Live 10 R2R and also the trail version of Live 10 on win10. Is anybody else also having this problem with the Win10 popup: "This app can't run on your pc..."?

 

It's probably related to some idiotic Microsoft security "features". better use a custom win7 version for your new DAW

Win7 is like xp, an outdated lullabie, better learn to handle nowadays os, than being stook with obsolete on es. Live 10 works smoother than live 9.7 in an updated and smoothly optimized win10 ,and in recent osx. The wrong thing is your stragegy texture in your config, choice of tweaks, and security bundle for example

 

oh i think win7 is perfect to build up 15-65Ghz+ daws. if you look at the win 10 coding simple things are still unexpected bad jokes. the updating is still to laugh. win10 is for users, that dont know anything about hardware or pcs

you are able to customize your win7 that there is no prob. for any studio stuff, or ableton 10. if you know your stuff drivers and hardware, you want more than just windows10 for noobs.

same happened here, ableton runs fine after closing the popup.
felt like some system files are missing, so I downloaded windows ISO file, made an Inplace Upgrade
-> now Ableton opens without the popup message
