    It absolutely does not matter. You can get away with utilizing CORE AUDIO for MAC, but everyone uses a 3rd party audio interface anyway. The MAC - PC debate is dead, imo. It once was worth a debate in 1997-2001.

    It's definitely not a matter of how good Ableton works on both of the operating systems: its a matter of how good you work with the OS! If you're more comfortable working with a Mac, buy a Mac. If you like windows more: buy a PC. There are no big difference in sound quality that are influencing your music: getting ideas down or professionally master someone else's track works on both platforms. The only impact of the OS is the workflow around Ableton. But, I hate to admit it, you find more cracked software for windows since it's the most used OS in the world, so there are many more techies cracking for windows. So, make your choice on the OS not for but around using Ableton!
