There's always going to be some extra latency and/or CPU overhead and unknown scenarios when plugins can randomly crash, expect different results between 32 and 64bit plugins. I only once tried VSTs on AVLinux and tbh its a real hit or miss, most commonly used plugins like Serum etc. won't display properly or get licensed. Best of luck with using plugins with shitty antipiracy methods. Now Crossover is a paid software so you can get support for it maybe. Literally every company makes VSTs for Mac, since there are tons of music makers using Mac and they say its better than Windows, its just better if you find an alternative plugin that works natively.
