I'm a DP user with K'd Kontakt and some K'd libraries.

I moved to Logic for a while but didn't like it. Now I'm moving to Pro Tools but since PT only uses AAX plugs, Kontakt only ran in Demo mode.

If I buy Kontakt 6, will my K'd libraries still work?

    -OR-

Is there a proper K'd version of Kontakt 6 AAX out there anywhere? I can't find it.

Yes it Will , but there may be some libraries that will give you a 'Demo Mode' issues
A good rule of thumb, check sister site , try other K'd versions of Kontakt until it works
Make sure you follow instructions properly, read comment section throughly (especially Permissions reset in terminal)

Downloaded libraries from sites like audioz or anywhere but the legit way, will show as "DEMO" on legit Kontakt.
If you want to use K'ed Kontakt in pro tools, the best way I think is Blue Cat's PatchWork.

    Great. Thank you.

I'm assuming people have tried this on the new M1 and Big Sur?

Let me explain this first: There is no such thing as a "k'd" library. All libraries are the same, whether you buy them or you get them from other sources. The only thing is that legit Kontakt asks for a serial for authentication of libraries, whereas k'd Kontakt skips this check.

So about your question, the answer is mostly no. Legit Kontakt would ask for a serial for most of your libraries. However, if you have some Open Format libraries, i.e. the libraries which are not compatible with Kontakt Player and require full version of Kontakt, they will continue to run in legit Kontakt as well. An example would be Dominus Choir by Fluffy Audio.

However, as others have said, you should try using Blue Cat's Patchwork for using k'd Kontakt VSTi with Pro Tools.

Great. I just google searched and came to BlueCatAudio dot com. I'm guessing that's where I'll purchase this patchwork software.

I see this is mostly solved but the entire bluecat bundle is on the sister site. Just saying.

I got BlueCat. I can finally use Kontakt in ProTools.

I'm on PT 2021 and Big Sur on an M1 Mac Mini.

After a quick search I came up empty at first, but then I realized you have to search for "blue cat audio" (three words) and not "bluecat audio" or "bluecataudio".
