I'm looking for Wild West shouts as in the 'Canyonero' song from the Simpsons or/and in Ennio Morricone's 'For a few dollars more'. I also search for jaw harp's and whip samples. For the whip: I found some on youtube.

8Dio has the Jaw Harp covered separately and as a part of their Misfit series (that one is 8$). BTW, check the demos of Misfit - you could find something in the style you're after (though don't remember shouts & stuff..)

Computer Music magazine (issue 193) came with a DVD sample pack from Groove Criminals and Cyclick called 'Western World'. Around 2GB and superb for fans of the Morricone/Spaghetti genre. I'll have a look and see if it's available anywhere.

 

@Midge F that sonds wonderful, since I've just re-watched all the spaghetti western! Great scores, great characters!

Absolutamente! We re-watched them a couple of weeks ago, too. Gold. Was travelling through the Tabernas desert recently (where a multitude of spaghetti westerns were filmed) and had Morricone playing in the car. Beforehand I attempted to compose something Morricone-esque and dipped into this fantastic sample pack again. Can't for the life of me remember if I have it on DVD or I downloaded from the sister site. If I can find it, I'd happily send the DVD to you, but it might have fallen victim to one of the wife's clearouts before we moved here from the UK... anyways, it's backed up so might be able to sort something out if you're interested.

Listening to Morricone while driving thru Tabernas desert must be awsome! I can only imagine, riding a horse would be more authentic (but it's more painful..;-)

Certainly would have been more authentic, especially bumping into Lee Van Cleef en route. Less romantic in a Berlingo but nearer Granada it snowed, which is pretty mad for Spain in April. Anyways, 'scuse my ignorance but how does one send a PM in here?
