this would not be banned, even FACEBOOK has standards -- they would just move it to the META-verse, such fanciful virtual realities should only be argued in VR.

I noticed Sweetwater's prices have gone up, I've been eyeing a guitar that went from $400 to $450 the other day, everywhere else it's still $400 though. Anyone ever have any luck trying to negotiate with them?

    Of course. :like:

I just ordered my new USB-Stick. 100 Kilobyte!

Ok the downside is that it needs permanent 24/7 power (400V, 20 Amps) and an own room. And its not thaaaaat portable but it looks nice, doesn't it?

One might get the impression that our economy isn't suited to handle those problems due to internal flaws (outsourcing, monopolization)

I have to say the following: You root for the wrong team, you get the right punishment :P

Edit: Ofc I got some insider info too, canvassing all nearby guitar shops in search for a good Strat I found out that supply shortage is everywhere, from Pacificas to Ernie Ball strings (seriously guys, buy strings now and don't regret later), and I can be happy that I found a promising model and have a set of spare strings laying around :)

Hey, I've been saying for years, nothing beats the warmth of analog data storage.

Interesting, because I bought three more guitars and two other stringed instruments since the start of the pandemic. All on sale, less than usual cost, two of them high end gear. The only issues I had were slow shipping times because delivery companies were slammed.

When the warehouse capacity is full, the merchandise is sold cheaper to make room for the new merchandise.

Check out Stringjoy dot com, they are made in Nashville,Tn and I find them to be as good as NYXL's for staying in tune.
Best part is you can have your own custom gauge set put together for no additional cost and shipping is free if you spend $25.
(BTW, I'm not affiliated in any way, just getting a monthly drop shipment.)

Depends on where you are I guess. I can see EB Strings being a problem depending on where you live as that shipping corridor is backed up. If you are in the USA I haven't noticed string shortages but I go interchangeably between EB and DR strings for electric and DR and Martin for acoustics.

The DR strings sound really good, they hand made not that far away from me in New Jersey but they go dead quicker than the EB/Martins which don't quite sound as nice but convenience matters too.

Just browse Thomann and look at how many items are currently out of stock - it depends on where you live like JMOUTTON said, Americans use other websites usually (at least thats the impression I get, I see reverb.com and sweetwater mentioned virtually everwhere in the anglosphere)

    Yes it's sad.
I hate to bring politics into this but I thought the stable genius said it was a flu and it will go away, also that he fixed the china trade issues.

For me he was a unstable idiot.

Because any person with half a brain would have known it's bad and from the pictures of all the containers coming in from China.
It was like Bernie madoff a Big Con Job, except this time it's all of us not just the rich that got effected.
