Why there is no Boards of Canada tutorials about tape distortion, Chemical Brothers about sampling breaks, Fatboy Slim about sampling old records, Liam Howlett Synth Tutorial or TB-303 Programming, KoRn tutorial about guitar riffs or numetal vocals etc.?

Maybe there are some famous and biggest ones making tutorials but I'm not aware of it?

I know there are some Computer Music Magazines Tutorials but most of it are old right now like 10 years or more. I'm not satisfied with CM Magazines Tutorials. Artists tell about everything very generally. Low quality videos, hard to see something on the computer screen. Sometimes important things are not showed in camera, skipped by cameraman.

Because they make enough money doing what they already do so they don't need to do tutorials.

They don't wanna give away their "secret sauce" recipe I think the best thing to do is to create your own "secret sauce" and make it so good, they all want some.

 

You want to watch a tutorial made by Ariana Grande? Have fun I guess...

 

If you can't make money by your own music, you make money from other musicians. That's why people make tutorials.

Okay so I'm actually an intern right now for Warren Huart at Produce Like a Pro, and I have a guess a bit of "insider knowledge" on this. Suffice to say, certain mixers and producers and stuff who have lost their touch a bit do make tutorials and courses almost exclusive to make money. You find those guys in paid courses and "masterclasses" and stuff like that. But there are a lot of guys who do tutorials because they genuinely want to help out us up and comers and give back what they have. Those guys tend to be on Youtube, or somewhere free or low cost. Youtube really doesn't make a lot of money for tutorial guys because for one thing, those videos don't get a lot of views in the grand scheme of things, and whenever they use an artists music to teach with, the monetization for that video goes to the artist.

But also, you can find interviews and that sort of thing with just about all of the really big time guys in the industry. Eddie Kramer, Al Schmitt, freakin Bob Clearmountain, CLA, Andrew Scheps all these guys have content out there talking about their craft.

If your talking about tutorials from like Post Malone and DJ Khaled and crap, yeah it's cause ghost producers, just look at their credits. It takes 10 people to right a song with 2 verses. And 1/2 of all the hip hop type songs that come out from any artist are just written by Mike Deen anyways lol. You like Sicko mode sike it's by this white guy named Mike Deen. And Mike has interviews and stuff out there.

TL;DR, in my experience
#1 Most of the giants of music do have tutorials
#2 If you want tutorials from like Post Malone and stuff, see #1

 

Shure! I'm not a singer but will be lovely to watch something from her. She is very talented. It will be very interesting to watch how she manipulating her voice
