Why the waveform is different ?

    Ok, so here is 2 different ''remix / Bootleg'' i did ....

    I dont understand why i get a flat line ( at the peak of my kick ) as a result for 1 of the master and the other one is making some kind of wave form like if at every 4 second it was loosing 3 db in amplitude !

    here's the flat exemple :

    Here's the one that is kind of waving :

    Is it because you need to limit or compress the kick track that it give different result....

    Seriously, i have wonder why far too long now !

    If you could demonstrate graphically what you are talking about with screen shots, it would be great.

    This is stroboscopy. The same thing happens when a wheel seems to be rolling backward on TV, or a movie.



    in very HD you see it :

    .iIi.iIi.iIi.iIi. (ascii wave!)

    Lower res, but with OK phase :
    X x x x
    I I I I (all peaks in phase)

    Depending on timing , it'll be out of phase :
    X X X X X
    I i i . i (ascii wave!)

    It has no influence on your sound.
