Hi guys, I installed waves 10 (latest r2r release) after cleaning the reg files using rev installer pro and once installed it has made not two, but three duplicate dll files. There are also five waveshell files in my vst directory...Could somebody please help me to clean this mess up. I'm not the most technical so any help will do...Thanks in advance:wink:

@EAR TO LEARN It looks like you have not been removing the old dlls when doing the new install. You need to clean up that mess. And then proceed to a new install.
    I do it as follows:
I either use Revo uninstaller and run the deepest scan or I install Waves Central and use it to uninstall Waves,
If I use Waves Central when I have finished I uninstall it.
After uninstalling waves with Revo or central I get rid of the following
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves
    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Waves Audio
    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Waves Audio
    C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio folder

Maks sure no Waves files are present in:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
    C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugIns
    C:\Program Files\VSTPlugIns
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VSTPlugins
    C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\WPAPI
IF YOU HAVE A DEDICATED VST FOLDER look for Waves folder/files in it, too.

    HKEY LOCAL MACHINE>Software>Wow6342Node>Waves
HKEY USERS>S-1-5-21>Software>Waves Multirack and Waves Multirack Soundgrid

NOTE: AS I have been explaining on sister site you should stick to one TEAM for Waves or any other VST or DAW. IF you have R2R wait until they release the next update. IF you have VR wait for the VR release. Dont mix any of them.

Just noticed another issue, the synths in waves i.e element, codex are showing up as effects and not synths, therefore I can load them as instruments...Any way around this that you know of?

You guys wait for next releases? There's literally no issues with using Waves Central, downloading only the plugins you need through it and running the tiny 40kB patcher after installing/updating.

since you are using FL Studio i'd probably load Codex in a dedicated FX Mixer Slot, and then insert a Midi-Out on your synthrack and set its output port to a midi input port in Codex or Elements settings , there could be a better solution but i dont know of one

They should be showing as synths but there is a fix to that issue. Open FL Studio Plugin Manager and click on Find plugins. Now you will go to each one of those Synths and DOUBLE CLICK on them individually. That will allow you to manually change the "Type" to "Synth" on the newly opened window on your left. When you are done click "Apply changes" Repeat for each one.
