    Just wondering.

Although it has nothing to do with the original Massive, it's stratling to see no big sound designer has ever produced any valuable bank for this synth.

Massive X is a huge disapointment with overly complicated UI

Hm, there exist way more capable synths that are out there for more months or even YEARS, but with few or no soundbanks.
Complaining that there are few MX presets is funny, considering that these are more than enough, imo - anyway, it is not capable on any novel timbres, not achievable with the competitors, I think (maybe we can abuse the resonator and add some fx, but that's it).

The modulation options are very nice ! You can use a OSC to modulate the FilterCut off. Not many synths can do that, most offer the ability to use a LFO but not into the high frequency range... Besides that it is still a bit buggy under some DAWs

Come on, there exist like hundreds of very good vst instruments - just this year we got Phase Plant, Lion, Massive X and probably some more that I missed - what about the last like 10 years?
The whole edm preset industry is (or was) centered around Massive, Sylenth, Serum, Spire (honorable mentions from another age - Albino and Vanguard).
Cinematic preset industry is around Kontakt (with sampled synths and blended acoustic sounds along with somewhat limited Kontakt synth options), Zebra2, Omnisphere.
I would say that even the stock instruments in many daws are underrated (especially Bitwig with all the native stuff that is possible there for electronic textures) and daw developers should update them more often with new sounds (it looks like IL are actually doing this, they even created a new preset player for FL).

    "Come on" You say?
Ok. So basically, you mentioned Massive X as more capable than...wait.. Massive X? Little gitch in your explanation there.
You're drifting from the subject BTW.
Almost all synths you mentioned (Phase Plant and Lion aside but i'm not honestly seduced by any of both) had a truckload of presets made by designers. I was asking why a synth like Massive X did not get any of the coverage Massive v1 got for years. That's as simple as that.

    But this is going nowhere.

Can a mod lock the thread please? It's of no use to anyone anymore.

The Performer tab is insanely awesome.
Make your own presets. Sell them if that's how you roll.

    But make them first.

Alot of users can't use Massive X because it needs modern CPU's to run.
No one can run it, no one wil use it. It's as simple as that.

NI plays a shitty game and wins a shitty price - no customers.

I had a look to Phase Plant and Lion but in my opinion Massive X is way better sounding and its GUI is far more readable.
I quickly threw Phase Plant and Lion but I know I will not do the same with Massive X.I'm waiting for a nice deal.

@Blue You're not wrong about Massive X but Lion is pretty powerful too.

@r4e Agree. NI always likes to look pretty and doesn't regard the consequences. Expect Absynth. That shit is ugly but oh-so usable.

They should have fixed Massive X before selling it too quickly.
There was a big hype but on release they failed in everything.

    The result is:
No one wants to create additional packs and presets for a product that doesn't sell.

    What are talking about?
There are like two Phase Plant preset banks for sale online and 1 (or 2?)for Lion. Massive X beats them in preset selection in a massive way.
Do you want me to list every good synth released recently that has more features (or different features) than Massive X or what?
Honestly, the top dogs are in terms of flexibility are still the same old Falcon, Halion, Avenger,Synthmaster, Omnisphere.
Massive X can't compare to hybrid synths with many different synthesis methods. (I would also say that Serum, PP, Avenger, Falcon have way more capable wavetable implementation.)
Omnisphere gained popularity as preset banks platform just in the last few years (maybe the sister site has some share in popularising it). Avenger is mainly supplanted by Vengeance. Serum is the industry standard today and nearly everyone owns a copy, because of the monthly subscription offer. Falcon has few third party banks. Same can be said for Halion, despite these two are out there for years and are super capable synths. So it is not all about the features.
