Just get ShutUp10, WindowsSpyBlocker, and Bloatbox. Be sure to disable updates.

My Windows XP DID NOTHING for days on end unless I moved the mouse.
My Windows 7 does nothing unless I move the mouse
My WIndows 10 LTS does nothing unless I move the mouse

My OS is dead silent no CPU peaks period unless I am running an application

Run Task manager and watch how many services are running, what's hitting the CPU the most, what service is using more ram.

Windows 10 default install is like a call center scam PC, just running useless crap that have nothing to do with running a Personal Computer. In fact 35 services in Windows 10 can be disabled, shutdown deleted and Windows 10 would go on with no problems.

The Windows 10 services situation is downright pathetic, the people who are running Microsoft are complete idiots and they have setup Windows 10 to send out and collect as much info as possible to sell to government agencies and advertisers.

In fact most IT admins have Windows 10 workstation images setup with 30+ Services disabled ( ie XBOX services!!!!)

During a Windows 10 install it should be 2 options
    1. Multimedia - All office network services disabled, useless services disabled they are not needed
    Games
    Audio
    Graphics
    Video

    2. Network Domain workstation - All network services for IT on ( IT can use sysprep to edit their own install)

It should take about an hour to disable all the garbage in Windows 10, Take ownership of the locked "Windows Apps" folder and delete all useless garabage, delete Cortana, Antimalware service, disable windows update, Disable about 35 services, and finally setup Windows with GPEDIT to finalize the settings so they stick

Last thing is RUN WINDOWS 10 Offline or through a Proxy running on another PC.
My Windows 10 does not connect directly to the Internet.

Can you provide a list of services that is safe to disable, and cause a problem, i tend to stay off most of these tools and programs provided in this tops, is because of the long-term instability and problems it presents into the system, so i'm looking for a good compromise that wont destroy my system leaving me having to re install it.

It's not because they're background tasks. Code-wise Windows is a dumpster fire. It is not well coded so that no matter how good the process is it will get mismanaged by Win32 scheduling, security, and dependencies. Like say your DAW is running fine, the audio driver is fine, but some Windows bullshit is trying to manage the power settings so it fucks up your CPU timing and you get errors in your audio output. Win32 is incapable of giving priority to the right things, any little process can take down your whole PC. The kernel is solid, it's Win32 that is a nightmare for development because it contains code from decades of Windows development that has to be backwards compatible. MS is desperate to get rid of it by switching to UWP apps. Windows 10x coming out later this year is going to be the first Windows that won't natively run Win32 apps and won't be backwards compatible with a lot of things. It's going to be a lot more Unix-like so that you could run legacy apps in virtual machines.

You know that it is similar under macOS ? yea ?
There are also running multiple services which belong to teh sustem , and there are multiple calls to Apple, even more under Big Sur.

I assume you refer to macOS ?

    Because:
    * some software works better under Windows than on any other OS.

    * You can freely scale Windows to make things bigger (yes under macOS ther is also a scaling opting but that doen't work as free as under Windows 10 wher you can even set custom scale factors.
eg the new mac Mini doenst work properkly with ultra wide screens if you want a a scaled view.

    * freedom of Hardware choice.

the low latency scripts from the thread should be enough, also project lasso can be helpful

yea I know, I'm not saying Apple is flawless in that regard either, just Windows is less thought out in that matters

yup this one's a great utility, especially when you have a license (ehm) it can do things like deep disk cleanup, registry cleanup or even registry defragmentation - which imo does make some benefits even when using SSDs,
been loving it since Win7 days when it could cleanup update/driver cache files without fcking up anything

There're some really hilarious topics on Reddit about the notifications craziness and a lot of things that indeed happen when they shouldn't.

The way around it is to keep your music computer offline, which most people with any sense will do.
