It's been many many month's since our sister site and releasers have posted any new Toontrack Expansions. Is the protection software too hard to decipher or is there a lack of interest? So many kits out there to be played yet no new releases. Anyone have any answers?

Given you mean Superior Drummer Expansions:
e.g. because they are not (fully) compatible to the last cracked version of the software (3.0.3).

If you've got a newer Xpansion you could use it with the older plugin by changing the setting in the "aversion" file inside the content folder to "minreq S 3.0.3"
Of course you won't be able to use functions the newer plugin offers.

protection are the money itselves , so many people wants it but dont buy it . second thing if you dont own any Toontrack Drum Software , toontrack let you buy the expansions but you can not download and activate it . so in other words you needs to own at least SD3 that you can buy expansions . good luck .

 

That's not quite right. If you have installed a cracked version you just don't need to activate.
But you CAN download and you CAN install the Xpansions if you bought them.

 

Yes you are right and TinTin is wrong. TinTin always chirps in on anything Toontrack and trys to discourage people from using cracked Toontrack stuff (he probably works for them or is trying to get a job as Toontrack security). He supposidly has every expansion but wont share even a free update. So the reason they are not shared is people like TinTin refuse to share shit, except his useless and false views.

I haven't been paying attention but now that you are mentioning it...
It's been ages that we didn't see any new Sdx.

 

buy some expansions and send them to you know who, and they will MAYBE do the work required o_P

 

you understand it wrong , if you dont own at least SD3 legit on your Toontrack Account , and if you buy expansions only , you can not download or register it to your Toontrack Account . Toontrack disabled it if you dont own at least one Drum Software from them . in other words you can not buy expansions only without owning one Drum Software from Toontrack . understand ?

sure if you have an cracked version besides the legit version you can use the xpansions you bought on the cracked versions , thats correct .

 

you dont get the free in your eyes updates if you dont own and have bought the expansions before . so it isnt really free . it would be free for you if i would share them but not free for me as i have bought them . and dont think its cheap to buy them all .

second i dont own every SDX Expansion , only exception are , as i didnt have buy yet the SDX Orchestral Percussion as i have at the moment no use for .

you could buy all the expansions yourselves and share the updates with the people , but you dont do it . correct ?

it is even written from Toontrack itselves within their FAQ .

you can write them an support e-mail and ask about and they will tell you exactly this .

 

I suppose it is to keep their forums clean, but I can't access their SD3 forum to read a post, because although i do have an account created, I do not own SD3.
In the past, before I bought a product, I read the forums. It seems that may not be possible with TT.

(OK kids back on topic) for years R2R was the team that had all the TT stuff sorted apparently TT has changed their protection since SD3 3.0.3. so we wait until they or CV get around too it. an Update would be nice for the fact id like to try a couple of SDX I have that only work in newer versions but to be honest I've found my set up with. what I have now and what's available now is more than enough. my drumkit at the moment and the one ill use going forward with my current project is actually built off the SD3 factory kits ( IE what comes with. SD3 when you buy it) and when funding becomes available it is my next purchase. I wish more manufacturers understood the value of try before buy, hell even Steinberg figured it out and because I got a month to play with Cubase 10 it solidified my upgrading purchase. Hell, I became a Cubase guy thanks to H2O which led me to buy it originally so Steiny has them to thank for all the money I've spent with them. and because of R2R I'm gonna buy SD3. you don't need 100 expansion packs to get the sound you want and having the latest version isn't gonna make you a better drummer or better drum programmer. the beauty of the scene for me has always been the ability to "try before buy" because before I had wasted A LOT of money on utter crap that made loads of promises and failed. if I spend money on something I need to know that it works and works well in my workflow. so stop worrying about if the new version is gonna get released and just use what's available and if it becomes your goto and you can't live without it / must have, support the people that make it. they aren't magic, just tools. With any talent at all you can hammer a nail with any hammer ;)

mac users at least can use sd2 ¡ but yeah... just knowing SD3 it out there feel strange when working with sd2.. almost we are gonna hit the second years without it... it feels like Diet Coke..

 

It's still possible to make some (good) music with SD2 without ever needing SD3. Beside that, the library of this latest is ten times bigger...

 

yes of course it si possible ha ¡ no need even for anything new.. even with Nuedo 2.0 you could make a amazing song... thats not the point..

 

The thing is as simple as mentioned earlier, supply and enjoy.. no suppliers, no new products. Crying doesnt help at all
