You're right but after accepting 12TET as the predominant standard in the 20th century, only major and minor are good candidates for making logical music. Other scales been derived from 12 TET are useful only for raising momentary emotions in the listeners not making logical music.

IMO, the Aeolian mode, and major scale are tonally superior, then none western scales and modes. This is all based off of my personal opinion though

    That's simply not true.
You may have certain cultural expectations what is "logical" music, but any music that is not based on randomness follows certain logic.
Even in Western canon there is plenty of non-diatonic music from 19th and 20th century. Impressionism and Late Romanticism are pretty good starting point in your exploration. And they sound "pretty" most of the time.

Well my, this could actually be Foster/Nought as some sharp fellow pointed out before.
    Provoking arguments with pointless criticisms.
    The legend returns...

Using 12 TET in smart ways like your mentioned eras' composers did is more different than contriving pointless:
    • Spanish scale,
    • Blues scale,
    • Algerian scale,
    • Hungarian scale,
    • Japanese scale,
    • Mela scales,
    • Raga scales,
etc. by non-western cultures. Non-western cultures only exploited 12 TET. They couldn't and can't make lofty musical instruments so their only choice was mis-utilizing western instruments in illogical ways. One of their prominent illogicalities was manipulating the Major/minor system to ...:wtf:

    Completely uneducated guess.
These scales you mention in 12 ET are approximations of traditional cultural scales.
Idk why you continue with all this.
