No ones forcing you to use the plugin, but your making claims about me being a dev, shamelessly promoting the plugin, all of which is untrue. Its beyond just a loudness tool, you can control transients, dyanmics, and introduce nice distortion. What i find strange is your making these assumptions rather than doing your own research or trying the plugin. for like idk the third time im mentioning this..

you guys are suffering from motivated reasoning which basically means despite evidence, quotes, conversations threads etc you double down on your biased assumptions. Its like arguing with a 5 year old. Trial the plugin, read the manual, do blind tests, then come to a conclusion.. Duh..

Its just another hyped clipper. I trialed on release day, and spent the week with it. Its fine. A nice clipper, but not the game changer it claims to be. The "dynamic bias" and push / pull low shelf are nothing new. Dynamic bias is a low band compressor / expander. The push / pull can be done with any clipper plugin and two pro q's mapped to a macro. My clipping rack has had both of these features set up for years. I have it a step further, and have three bands of push / pull to really shape the sound.

The fact it "nulls" ( yes I know its not a null ) to -90 db is not insignificant. Sure, what's left is the magic marketing mumbo jumbo. Component drift blah blah blah. Ok. At -90 db you must have perfect hearing. If you want to add depth, vibe, voodoo to a plain ole clipper, just use any Acustica or Nebula profile along side it, or Analog X or any plugin you like that adds some fairy dust.

Im not saying its a bad plugin. Its not. Its a nice plugin. But its nothing new, and if you already have 5 or 10 clipping plugins its hard to justify the $150. Its fun tweaking some of the micro double - advanced settings, but not game changery enough for me to justify the higher price tag. If it was $35, I would maybe consider it just for another flavor / color, as I love clipping and saturation. If you have zero clippers and $150 burning a hole in your wallet, give it a test run, may be right for you!

I respect your opinion, ofc everyone is entitled to their own. But i trust Bob katz more than you guys let alone my own ears, again and i mean this, no offense. He masters acoustical music for the most part, so based on that alone, and its Bob k. that should answer anyone concerns. I would argue you havent trialed it enough, but to each their own.

    nonsense.

    nonsense.

...also known as distortion and inaccuracy.

who cares how "nulling" is defined and what releveance should it have to anyone who needs a clipper?

and first of all: who needs a clipper?

do you read what you write before pressing "post"?

which is ecactly what algorithmic processes do not do, unlike processes modelled after hardware.

ok, i take it, you do not read what you write before pressing "post".

3/10 points, for the entertainment value.

dood, he is not making conclusions, he delivered facts and used arguments which proves you wrong. all of what YOU wrote are conclusions.

its spelled dude.. if you read all of it you would see he agrees with some of my points, so by that sense your logic is already flawed. wym all of what i wrote are conclusions that makes no sense. He seems very intelligent and i have little doubt he isn't', also to be fair how can you prove what he said is facts without linking articles, quotes from books, journals etc. Im not disputing what he is saying but your suffering from confirmation bias. before you reply again lookup the definition of that.

No no don't bother, we don't care. People believing that this plugin is anything special are the same people that believe the "mastering-grade AD/DA are the best limiters" myth that analog mastering studios are perpetuating to keep their business extra relevant. Whereas in reality, the digital domain is perfect for the kind of precise, musical limiting that is required in mastering. Plugins like Invisible Limiter G3 and Barricade 4 absolutely destroy a Lavry Gold as a mastering limiter, and it's not even close. The soft-clippers in AD/DA converters can't compete with the most advanced digital algorithms.

oh jeez, not that guy... some of his content is great, but some of his claims are wrong. He says all digital EQ's are the same, how? what about distortion, phase response, curves?
