It could be they are slowly coming out of the closet, the broom closet that is. Perhaps to eventually reveal their true identity. It's difficult to uncover the answer to your question here because so many people here revere R2R. Any negative implications would be unfavorably viewed and vociferously challenged. That's assuming there was anything negative to imply. But since you have put the question out there, I suggest it would be prudent if somebody did have insight to continue the discussion with you through private messaging.
