RG is great on this end. Hopefully it stays.

 

They often ban accounts, like they are doing at the moment. Alldebrid posted a message few days ago about this problem:

My experience of Rapid Gater is 100% different to what the op claims.

It is rock steady, reliable and out of all of the file hosts, the fastest for me.

I am an admin in a different private group |(un related to this one or AZ) and we only allow Rapid Gator or mega.nz.

The main reason that things keep being removed is that more often than not, the file name is the same as its contents which is crazy.

Of course ANY file host will remove any file that is named "HELLO I AM WAREZ.rar".

In my group we state that all file names must be a 12 digit combination of numbers and letters (upper and lower case) so they look like "7Jbw2-882z.rar.

It is rare that any are removed if named in this way.

 

These two were voted for by AZ members and/or residents. SAiNT opened up a poll.

And we are told that UL and RG are a prerequisite.

Ha. Most will tell you that it is a pittance anyway. Unless you're Talula!

rapit gator and ul are paying the most and the links stay up at longest which has much impact on that matter too...but fuck the money and think bout openload...there was the same req like yours like on clickn...movie sites had to replace 100.000s of files....hurray

btw there is much stuff which not got dmca'ed but buster companys are busting them weak links pretty fast

whats best for you may not best for site owner running things since a decade or what ever and not best for racers , ever thought of that . both ways and so on you kno
in the end you get protected from yourself so you will get your free stuff also next year and the next year and the next year

there was a time where rapidshare was the thing like mainstream choice for sharing things.. maybe its time to move on.. 2021 can be the year where we can all unite together to find ourselves something like fair storage host like still award point and bonus for storage stuff yet hassle free from this kind of restrictions.. yaaaa lets boycott rapidgator!! this is spartaaa

 

A lot of good points here (apart from that rugby ball puppet), it seems as @Olymoon mentioned there is a lot that goes into it: FTP, max upload speed etc, and that could well be a dealbreaker i wasnt aware of.

I thought the website wanted as much consumer traffic as possible, making it more valuable and profitable, therefore offering the best option for the downloader leech.

The votes are neck & neck though and thats interesting! last time i checked RapidGator was the favorite

@Gyro Gearloose what insider information do you have exactly that company X will be here until this date and company Y will exist until that date?.. Because proof of that is the only thing that will make yours the winning opinion

I don't like Clicknupload for larger downloads. It's possible of course, but it can be annoying. They have different servers. If I download from "dark", "black", "cyan" links, one gigabyte can take 2-4 hours. Apart from uploaded.net, I also like ddownload.com. They currently cost only $ 50 per year. Apart from that, zippyshare is the best hoster. The limit of 500 megabytes is not a problem, because you can simply download 20 files simultaneous. You can download one terabyte a day there, no problem, if you have fast internet. As much as with Rapidgator in a month, and it's free.

I am seeing more and more posts like this moaning about things but let me give these people a sharp reality check!

You are getting things for free from sources dedicated to the scene.

You are entitled to NOTHING, you hve no right to any of it, if you do not like it then it is TUFF LUCK.

No one is forcing you to download a single thing.

Each group, forum or website sets ITS own rules and to use any service provided you MUST follow these rules.

So what if you can DL something in 30 minutes or three days - you are getting what ever it is FREE so stop bitching.

If you do not want to do so then do not try and use said services.

It really is that simple.

long story short,
I reckon, that it is up to the up-loaders wishes rather then the people who download the releases.
Cause it is totally up to them if they to choose to share something or not.

I've been using RG for a while, never faced any issues and always had good download & upload speeds. Your statement about cancelling accounts & resetting passwords could possibly be because the accounts are shared (RG checks the IP of each log in to verify).
If you don't like it, why don't you use the uploaded links which also get posted?

I've used clicknupload numerous times and always had a lot of popups or either slow download speeds (which seem to be limited in some cases)

And again, these are things you're getting for free so of course there will be limited download speeds & download times

 

whats killin the links so fast is all these whack wanna be sites using the same uploaders link they post on sister site, and then they are done for. also its up to the uploaders decision what links to choose from when posting them. alot do add diff hosting sites which is wonderful and thanks for doing so.

 

Disagreeing cause uploaded works really well with most link generators for me
