Why are library tags in Kontakt set to read-only?

I would like to change a few tags in my sample libraries or add some new ones, but I can't edit these tags in Kontakt. They seem to be read-only. I've already started Kontakt as an administrator, but that doesn't help either.
Incidentally, the same problem also exists in Komplete Kontrol.

you can see it in the top right corner

if not solved, maybe also check that the contend (with that i mean the related local folders\subfolders\files for "library whatever" are not set to: "read only" \ "write protected")

Yes, I already checked, the folders where the samples are located are not write-protected....I don't know but it think it's a ni problem, because in Maschine also you can't change or add the vendor for samples

Maybe "CRK-Related" but then in notice: SAME HERE! and i use a other Methode keep my Kontakt proper running. To finally get sure that it is not anyway "CRK-Related" is, how should i say... TRICKEY cause in pure Player Mode those custom-Libs are not visible (But there is always a way...IF) *my english, sorry* - I suggest if you know a User with legit purchased Kontakt ask if he also have those issues. then you and me and may all *hehe* are get closer to a fail who's maybe for real a fail. end ELSE, also as i never pay for Kontakt, then i make a "§$%&/(Storm trouble at NI) for me: no matter how this ends, anything gives me the thrill (we figure it out, im sure)

If it’s an officially registered Kontakt library, the metadata you’re trying to edit are locked by Kontakt itself. OS permissions don’t matter. this is NI’s internal protection, so if it shows up only on the quick load side of Kontakt and not just in quick load you are kinda done. You can screw with those via database.

If you delete or alter the NICNT, change the SNPID, break the registration pairing, remove the library folder from Native Access, Kontakt will no longer see it as a licensed library. You could do it (mostly) in KLU 2 or equivalent utility for your OS. But you would be basically turning the library into something you have made yourself, probably stuck using it via only quick load if you aren't careful.

Usually when you find yourself asking something like this, that no-one has some "solution" for; it's because what you are trying to do is either impossible or a waste of your time. It should tip you off to take a different approach to your "problem".
