    Hi all,
i`m an absolute noob about mixing and mastering. Any help is appreciated. Thanks !
Forgot to mention, that there is already a label, who wants to release the song, when everything is finished. So, who ever wants to mix or have Remix Ideas, here are the Audiostems.

Sounds pretty good to me - tapping my foot and bobbing my head to it right now - it ends quiet abruptly and the high-hat may need a little drop in volume but what do I know?

love the groove and feel of it - happy sunshine party music - nice - I'll be playing this again -

It would be nice if we could find out the originator of the original song. We owe that to the artists.

    Sounds pretty good already.

The high frequency content (the hats in particular) sound a bit harsh to me and I would probably address this during mixing.

I can do a mix if you want me to (let's talk via private message).

Thanks for sharing your music. Interesting tribute to to Barreto's and Cruz's song but the mix NEEDS to be reworked. Also, the song structure is devoid of the tension and release found in the original.

    1. I think part the problem of harsh high frequencies as @Hazen said, is to do with the amount of background loops that you have. Go through all the tracks and ask yourself do I really need this track? Some EQ would also do. I'd like you to try mixing your own track again.
    2. Can I make a surround mix of this and release it for download? It may take some time.

    nice work!

The composition: its a non stop frenzy, but so what, if that is your conscious artistic decision for this particular version then fine. Sure, you could introduce some sort of "break" but its up to you. This could simply be the "no holds barred" version that many will love.

The mix: i see/hear the point in the feedback. its a tiny bit muddy in the bass and middle and highs, but please beware (!) its all a matter of tiny SUBTLE fixes, or else it wont be the same mix, you will loose the mojo.

take the second version for instance, the attractive dirty old-school house mix is totally gone, its simply a generic mix and not even interesting.

I prefer the first version, it could be mastered by a professional who can keep the compression and distortion "dirt" and character just tame the slightly problematic clashes.

So, in my opinion keep the first original one (maybe fixed in mastering or slightly touched in a new mix) it has character and let others make their own versions, that way you have a complete range of remixes for every dj occasion.

I genuinely did try to just to mix it but the quality of the stems provided, and some of the loops chosen were pretty awful.
