wanted to buy these, how good are they in terms of sound quality and bass right out the box? how do they compare to jbl charge 4 or beats pill plus or bose soundlink mini 2? any better suggestions will also be appreciated

I use it since 3 years now every day instead of a soundbar for tv

without the eq does it do a good job?

 

i was gonna buy the PreSonus Eris 3.5 monitors but that would require an audio interface which will make me spend more, while portability is an issue right now, because I move around a lot so spending on studio monitors + audio interface will not be worth it. That's why i need a very good sounding bluetooth/aux speaker to resolve this portability problem i have. I'm just using them to make beats and do a quick mix of the beats. headphones are not an option right now cos my inner ears hurt, i need a long break from them.

It's great for listening to music in the kitchen or in the garden by the pool. It's portable, wireless, waterproof, comparatively rugged, etc.
It's wholly unsuitable for music production, though. Being a single speaker, its soundstage is too narrow and the frequency response doesn't allow any objective and neutral evaluation.

well this frequency response looks balanced to me, take m50x and sony 7506, u'll see some crazy spikes at some points

 

For what he is looking for its an excellent speaker. This size you will find nothing better under 4oo,-
