I remember being adventurous as well.
You cleverly avoided mentioning that the experimentation processes many musical people in the 70s,80s and early 90s went through with acid/LSD/mushrooms etc regularly had a side effect of being unable to sleep and 'coming on again' if grunty, as much as three or four times over in as much as 48hrs or more. That always had me curious to wonder now that I am gratefully over that phase of youthful adventurousness, if the final sleeplessness symptom at the end of it additionally caused its own unique form of tripping.
On a funny side, one gig I will always remember we had to stop mid set was because we had a not too bright drummer who took some acid before the gig and his sticks melted in front of him and he freaked out. Also people tripping should never make each other laugh because the stomach muscles will pay for it later.
