I'm assuming you're talking about profiles by AnalogX (aka AnalogXai)

.json is the file format for Proteus, the modelling platform by GuitarML. Someone on here said according to GuitarML, the Proteus project is "near completion" and will no longer receive any major updates.

AnalogX makes their profiles for Proteus. Genome (by Two Notes, paid software not avail on sistersite) and BYOD (by ChowDSP, freeware) both can run Proteus profiles.

Curiously, AnalogX profiles apparently only sound right in Genome. I've tried them in the Proteus player, and felt that something was off.

In my experience, Proteus has some weird coloration going on with it, wont be 100% true to the capture or the unit

BYOD can have early roll-offs sometimes, and can be solved without using the oversampling, but then you get aliasing for the harmonics.

Proteus will always give aliasing but the capture is not fully static as can be seen in the plugin doctor. Not sure why.

both can be used, but use it politely without pushing at all. at around 10-20% of its full power and hope they stack up in the end, somehow. lol.

Ive had good results with BYOD following what stevie said. turn off OS, and make sure its not in mono. I really dont worry too much about aliasing. A little aliasing doesnt make or break a mix, and every other plugin i use has capable OS. Im only using the profiles here and there.
