So I want to buy a new mic, I currently have the akg p420, I was thinking about getting a Shure sm7b or an akg C214 but I wanted to ask you which one would work better for rap/pop punk baritone vocals, or if there's any other mic under $700 that you think would work better in this case

between the c214 and sm7b i would say it depends on if you are the one pressing record and using the mic, if you are, and you don't have the best acoustically treated room I'd suggest the sm7b. If your room/computer is quiet enough get the condensor. I'ad also suggest smoking the 420 to help your decision. Let me know if you need help with that part:like:
