    Wireless MIDI works too.

Same goes for all of these except Sequence and cascadr. They all have MIDI-out 'cept those two.

If wireless doesn't seem reliable check out studiomux. It sends audio, MIDI and OSC over USB with zero latency. The client comes with effect and generator VST plugins that you can load in any host.

I loaded the studiomux effect plugin in one of Maschine's Group slots (which is essentially 16-track bus) and had a drum kit playing out a pattern. I loaded Sugar Bytes Effectrix on my iPad and was using the touch-screen to mangle the beat which was being resampled back into the host on a new track with zero latency.

I'm on some tangent and I should get back.

Personally, I like FM-8's arp best. The Arp/sequencer of the SH-101 is tits, too.

    I am.

I can type 60+ words a minute, play a 16th quaver paradidle with one hand on my floor tom, using a match-stick.
While my left little toe runs them major scales accross my Bechstein, 16th-triplets over five octaves in Gminor.
... trust me folks; I am the best arp egg I ate her.

    :winker:

    (oops, sorry wrong meeting.)

    Sugar Bytes thesys.
It's not a simple go-to arp and therefore my second choice over StepPolyArp and Cthulhu, but if you want to go nuts with it, I have hardly seen anything deeper than this. Can be very experimental and inspiring if you spend some time.

    +1 Sugar Bytes Thesys

    Simply unbeatable.

Trying to figure out if it can trigger external-hardware as well, if that's possible at all it would be even more dope.

Thesys is awesome. Every version of the plugin including the iPad version allows you to switch between using the internal synth and external devices. Click the speaker looking icon and configure your MIDI out

Just published a new screencast that demonstrates a useful way to use Kameleono.

To me, the limit is when a MIDI tool REPLACE my DAW
That's why first i tried to "augment" Ableton...and now, i use Studio One
I dropped a lot of MIDI tools.

I kept Cthulhu and Kirnu Cream CM, being different.
I will take a look at Kameleono, too :mates:

Yes, your point being? OP (me) asked for subjective opinions on why people like the arps they use. : )

I used to think that some sort of magic happened with an arpeggiator. Then I realised I'd been doing it by drawing notes into Notator back in 1990. These days I still create arps manually then draw automation for modulation or effects. Of course this is for studio work only. But it gives me so much more flexibility.
