I've seen people reporting problems with both.
With Kontakt it's far more important to me for all protected libraries to work without hassle so I haven't used R2R since the mid Kontakt 5 days. I prefer the portable versions as they are easier to update and are less likely to cause conflicts.

I tried a portable version of v7 but it seems to have issues remembering libraries detected in the library manager and only works for those detected in the registry so personally I'm going to hold off on serious use until both NI and the crackers work out any kinks.

 

K7 Portable won't launch on my Win7 sys: "Failed to initialize graphics backend for D3D11"
Looks like I need to get a video card with Direct3D3D 2.1 or higher support so I can update to Direct3D 11.1. My archaic quad i5 is using DirectX9.

This includes 11.1:

SOLVED: Run included Helper file: Black GUI Fixer.exe
Choose option: Software
Launch K7P
Working. (Both D3D and OpenGL gave err but Software works fine.)
