There are really not much dsp systems left out there. Pro Tools and UAD, that's about it.
Current computers offer so much power, there is really no need for dsp cards.
UAD offers great plugins, but they use their hardware mainly as a hardware copy protection. Performance wise they are no more neccessary.

But I have a feeling that this is not what you wanted to know. Maybe you can tell us what you mean with "dsp"?

Reverbs, chorus, echo, delay, effects sound. I think that it says DSP, at least in the synthesizers say him DSP.

i think you mean VST plugins.

because DSP means Digital Signal Processing. for example in softsynth/effects you've got DSP modules which creates the sounds or process it..

Why only 13teen girls buy music? (when someone asks a non specific question seams that he is imature to ask, so proibably is lazy and for shure wants a easy answer for a complex problem.. right?)
DSP can be hardware or software...
Seams that you really do not know nothing, so
If you wanna plugins install last Waves pack and go study the almost 400 plugs in the pack, if you wanna the best (as said) go UAD.
If you wanna hardaware tell your budget
If you wanna the the good love from here please be more specific *yes*

What vst is best for instruments is like asking what ingredients are best for food

You're gonna have to get A LOT more specific than that and still the answer will be totally a matter of subjectivity.

Besides TC Powercore DSP (discontinued product though)which could run two softsynths specifically the Virus Powercore and a bass-synth , could you be referring to this
Anonym URL Muse Receptor or Sonic Scope DSP Sonic Scope or Plugzilla 3,5k$$$!!! Anonym URL , BEB Expandium (discontinued) Anonym URL , SM Pro Audio V-Machine Anonym URL ??

these where supposedly life changers for the electronic musician 5-6years ago but really expensive stuff imo, and nowadays with all these cores and win7-8 stability not really necessary for lives , just having a powerful laptop is enough i think

    @ Ovalf,

Don't you think that you're a little bit harsh here ? I don't know nobody who was born with the 'Rocket Science', do you ? :dunno:

I only guess that 'Musictyros5' was talking about 'DSP Cards', as suggested by the other Users Comments... *yes*

Here, you're right because 'DSP' means 'Digital Signal Processing', but that Article is posted under 'Software', rather than under 'Hardware', and even if 'DSP Cards' are 'Hardware Units', these are done to mainly be used (to support) 'Software Plugins'...

I can't argue about the 'UAD 2' (Version 2 or later) because I don't have tried it, but for the first Version, you can make a comparison with 'T.C. PowerCore' (PCI Card), and you could be surprised of the quality of this last one (and above all, the quality of the Plugins provided), despite it's an old Model with '32bit Plugins' but can be run under '64bit' OS... *yes*

    For Info :

'T.C. PowerCore PCI and Included Plug-Ins'

    _______________________________________________________________________________________________

    @ Musictyros5,

My suggestions could certainly be not affordable for you, due to their respective prices... but I don't know, maybe you can afford these (?) :dunno:
These would cost you a bit more that some 'DSP Cards' (PCI Card), but their possibilities/options could be higher...

As previously said, these are really 'PROFESSIONAL' Hardware Units, hence their prices !!!

Their main advantages is to freeing up your Computer CPU/Resources to be able to accomplish other demanding/heavy tasks... *yes* , but another important advantage, it's that you can use any 'Plugin' (either 'Instruments', or 'Effects') of any Developer/Manufacturer, which is not always the case with dedicated 'DSP Cards' (PCI Cards) that rely on some specific Plugin Brands... *yes*

More a Joke than Harsh. Most questions are easy to find with a simple answer direct from GOD GOOGLE (GIYF!!!)
Here theres a lot of people that study very hard and try to help newbes, but learn is pain right?
Usually the answers are much sofisticated then the questions, so its part of the learning to provoque, estimulate and joke (at least each 10 minutes because the brains need to relax - its a tv learn function from the brain).
If a man cant joke about his ignorancy, afterall we are all a bunch of ignorants, hw cant learn nothing useful or criative. Note that who ask and not google firs is not creative at all...
So what differ the good and bad ignorants is the work we do to be less ignorant :mates:

If I understand you correctly - EQ and M/S EQ, filters, compression, delay, reverb, saturation/overdrive/distortion, transient designer, limiter, parallel compression, SC compression, de-esser, phaser, flanger, chorus, spectrum and waveform/oscilloscope analyzer, etc.
It's not really what you use, but how you use it.

It did not refer me to dsp of cards, but referred me to reverbs, flanger, chorus, delay, in shape virtual. For example I use Izotope, wanted to know if there is another better.

p.s. please don't expect any recommendations from us because:

1.: those have been given extensively on our forums. Just search for what you want.
2.: your question is like "are there any other means of transportation beside my bicycle? which ones are better?"
