Which DJ-Software can you recommend?

    If you're building a mix in Ableton you can just turn off the warp and manually pitch each track, then it will behave similar to a turntable.

    I have used in the past Serato, Traktor, Rekordbox and VirtualDJ.

    I didn't like Serato. Traktor is nice, but I wasn't really happy with the UI. Rekordbox is limited to Pioneer controllers. So, for me the best DJ software remains VirtualDJ. It's the most versatile. It has tons of personalisation possibilities. It supports more or less every kind of controller. The custom midi mapping allows you to assign quite every function of the software. It has even a scripting language for making batch changes to your database, advanced filters, you can use your favourite VST plugins for audio processing and effects, it supports video,...
